Baseball
Baseball was introduced to the students of Aroostook State Normal School in 1937, and it quickly caught on as a fun, competitive sport. In 1961, the baseball team won its only Northeast College Conference Championship to this day, with a league record of 4-1.
While baseball has been a popular sport, it has been struggling recently. Interest and participation in the sport are down, and the caliber of the team as a whole, as compared to other schools the baseball team plays against, is low. Hopefully, in the future, the baseball team will grow in popularity and become a competitive team for other schools to contend with.
