The
Campus Center
The Campus Center was built in the summer of 1992, with the purpose of being a student center. Located on the main floor are student offices, such as the Student Senate Office and the University Times Office. Also located on the main floor are the commuter lounge and snack bar, otherwise known as the Owl's Nest, the Reed Art Gallery, and the Office of Conferences and Special Programs.
Located upstairs are meeting spaces. The Alumni, Allagash, Aroostook, and St. John Rooms all are centers for club meetings and other student activities, as well as meeting spaces for groups that are not affiliated with the University.
The Campus Center was built with the help of donations from area people and businesses, through a bond issue, and through a yearly student fee. The addition of the Campus Center has added a great deal to our campus community. It has become the central place for student activities and fun, and is a beautiful facility that members of the campus community can be proud of.
