Facilities Support Building

Background, the Facilities Support Building.

With the huge increase in the number of buildings that existed on this university in the 1960's, and the addition of the Library in 1975, the buildings and grounds staff also increased. In addition, the space that was needed to support that staff greatly increased. As a result, the Facilities Support Building, the center for the maintenance, or Physical Plant crew, was built. The construction of the Facilities Support Building began in March of 1989 and went through much of 1990. In September of 1990 its construction was completed, and the university held an Open House Celebration and Dedication for the new Facilities Support Building on September 13, 1990.
